-
Husky puppies are subject to availability. Our kennel is preventing unwanted pregnancies, therefore we do not guarantee there are puppies available whole year round.

You are of course welcome to pet all our huskies. They are trained and very friendly. But remember they are still animals. It is not easy to predict their reactions.
-
Our goup sizes depend on the bookings. During high season Husky Safaris are around 30-35 people per group. Snowmobile tours are generally max 15-20 persons/group.
-
Our guiding is in English, and customers are responsible to know basic English in order to understand instructions. This is a concern of our customers safety as communication is important in case of an emergency. If guests´ do not speak or understand English at all, our guide is the last person to decide whether it is safe for the customer to participate in the safari.

Our lunch offers hot soup with bread, coffee/tea and small snacks (usually buns or cookies). If you have food allergies or special diets, please let us know in advance.

Snowmobiling has official speed limits. On marked routes the limit is 60km/h, on ice covered tracks the limit is 80km/h. If we are driving with snowmobile sledges the limit is 40km/h.
The driving speed also depends on whole groups driving skills, and tracks condition. Your safety is very important on our guided safari.

Our sales office locates in the middle of Saariselkä village center, close by to most hotels. The main meeting point for activity departures is from our sales office (address: Saariseläntie 10, 99830 Saariselkä).
If your accommodation is not in the center (walking distance more than 1km), then please inform your accommodation and we can agree on the pick up and time. For example Kuukkeli Apartment Aurora, Nothern Lights Village, Star Arctic Hotel, Top Star Hotel, Muotka Wilderness Hotel, Kiilopää Fell Center, and Polar Aurora Cabins etc.
-
All safari payments need to be settled 1 day before your first activity to our sales office, or when you make a booking via our webshop. We accept credit cards and cash.
-
Our winter outdoor activities always include a thermal overall, woolen socks, winter boots, balaclava, mittens and hat (also helmets on snowmobile safaris).
Therefore, we recommend dress up in basic thermal layers (wool, fleece). When it is very cold outside (eg. -20C), it is better to keep your own jackets and pants under the overall. Parents are obliged to dress the children properly, meaning that they have enough warm underlayers on to keep them warm. Especially take notice on the hands and toes.
-
We welcome all children on our safaris. However, with children under 4 years old, the extreme weather conditions must be considered. Smaller children should also share the same sledge with parents.
-
You can inquire our guides to be your driver. Guide’s driving supplement charge is 150€ per guide. Please contact us and book this service in advance.
-
Our private safari supplement is 10x adult price per group per safari.

Northern lights are a natural phenomenon, and unfortunately we are not able to predict them or guarantee them. The best time to see the Northern lights is when the sky is clear from clouds. Some people also say that the auroras come out when temperatures are colder. Northern lights appear frequently, but not daily. Our guides will do their best in trying to find the Aurora, but in the end it is all down to luck.
Since it is up to mother nature we unfortunately do not offer a refund from our Northern lights tours.
